Making Decisions

I dindn't vote for the Museum of Sex. What I thin is that people who chose this museum did not know that they would have to go during the spring break, and after they knew that they (My classmates) would have to go to a cultural institution, chose anoter because the Museum of Sex, it is not a place to go as a class. When they voted, they didn't know that they had have to go to a museum.

CAN THEY LIVE WITHOUT US!

Hi everybody.

As I said in my last blog, the immigration nightmare continues with protest around the country and I don’t know what or who is going to stop these terrifying packages of laws that the congress wants to implement. Also I know that these laws affects all the immigrants no matter what country do they came from, but specially its affects the Latino community. Why? It is easy to respond. We are the majority of immigrants in this country which is also forging by immigrants of around the world. We all (Latinos-immigrants) have one dream like everyone who had come to the United States of America, and this dream is to have a better economic status and be able to give to our family in our own countries the opportunity to have a better lifestyle.
In a sarcastic way, I want to say that yesterday I saw a movie during my class. The title is “A Day without Mexican.” Is it ironic, right? Yes it is, but even it was a mockumentary, this film told us a big true: this country can be without emigrants, not only Mexican every immigrant makes a contribution to make this country the biggest one of the world.
These laws are an abomination of the US and the Bush administration, and I don’t think that it going to be approve because, eve if the approve it, WE ARE GOING NOWHERE! NO VAMOS A NIGUN LADO! WIJ GAAN NIET NERGENS AAN! NOUS NE ALLONS PAS À NULLE PART! NON STIAMO ANDANDO AD IN NESSUN POSTO!

POR QUE NOS QUIEREN ECHAR AFUERA?

Why do they want to kick us out?
The last week had been the “immigration week”. They were protesting in the whole country. They are afraid, the cause is the new law that this administration wants to execute. This law converts in criminals all the immigrants in the USA and all people, organization and church that help immigrants in anyway. I’m concerned about this issue because, my father and almost all my family living in this country were immigrants when they came first. The immigrants do the job that the Americans don’t want to do. They come to this country to find the “American Dram”, that I prefer to call it “American nightmare”, because life in this country is hard. Immigrants don’t come to this country because they like it. I don’t think that anybody love to be in another country more than their own land. The United States is a country where all of we are immigrants, except for the Native Indians who are the only ones that have the right to decide who is or not immigrant. Even the people who are making these laws came from immigrants’ descendents. Maybe they forget it, but if they did I want to refresh their memory, and I want to say to the President Bush and to all the member of the US congress that they all are immigrants, and the only difference between you and the immigrants right now is the skin color. The Latin-American and African-American have the same rights of you (British, European).
